As I mentioned last week, I have invited a number of my current students to contribute daily reflections this Lenten season. I know for myself that there is an all-too-easy temptation to despair when I think of some of the enormous issues that beset the Church and it comforts me tremendously to hear the voices of my students who have grown up the Church, know its limitations, and are still able to love it.
Over the next few weeks, I invite you to pray along with these students. They represent many ages and experiences, but they are united in trying to discern how God is active in their lives and how they are being invited to become companions of Jesus during this sacred season.
