Yeah for YouTube!

So I had some time this afternoon and recorded a jig with iSight video camera. It's not the best quality of playing that I'm capable of, but it'll do for a first effort. I'll try and record a bunch of these and put them online in hopes that someone will stumble upon my playing and offer me a recording contract!

Well, if you know a good agent, send him or her my way! Just think of all the possibilities for a Jesuit Tin Whistle recording -- "Ryan Duns, Soul of Ireland" or "Amazing Grace" or "Hail Kerry" (The County OR Kerry Kelly-Oster, the dance teacher).

that's a heck of a tune (and a sweet echo). what's the name of it? and how do you get your iSight to do that?

and by echo, i obviously mean 'the acoustics are really great!'

/meghan, who is not allowed to try and think after 4 AM anymore

Hi Meghan!

The tune's name is "The Kings of Inishbofin" and it was written by Charlie Lennon. I played it at the '98 Fleadh in Detroit and Michael English played it in Ireland this year.

The echo/acoustics are certainly augmented by my use of GarageBand. Thank God for technology!
